Hats off to Les Adams

Les Adams has taken on the task of adding synopses to IMBD for all of the Durango Kid films he can remember from his childhood in the local movie theater in Texas. He’s been at it for a while now, and has covered many many of the films.

When I first encountered Charles Starrett while cataloging and preserving stills for Columbia Studios, there were scant resources from which to learn more about this masked hero. Les Adams’ writings were a welcome light in the darkness. I owe him a great debt of gratitude.

I’ve written to Les, and hopefully I will be able to return the favor by publishing here more about Les and his relationship with The Kid.
